Wednesday 9 October 2019, 2:57:52 PM

Haas Automation Ltd, the UK arm of the leading US based CNC machine tool manufacturer, is running a two-day ‘High Performance Machining’ event from 09:00 to 16:00 on 15th & 16th October 2019, which is being hosted at M.A. Ford Europe’s manufacturing and technical training centre in Leeds.

Aimed at existing users of Haas machines and M.A Ford tooling, as well as companies interested in learning more about high speed machining strategies for stainless steel and other tough materials, the event also covers new techniques for the high speed machining of aluminium.

The stainless steel machining demonstrations will be made using M.A. Ford’s nine-flute 380 Series and seven-flute 180 Series end mills together with the five-flute V5LCB end mill with integral chip splitter and through coolant, while the 137 Series three-flute end mill will show the high metal removal that can be achieved on aluminium.

All the demonstrations are being run on M.A. Ford Europe’s Haas VF-3SS machine, which has been a key part of technical support and training centre since 2014, using HSM tool paths dedicated to the different tooling and the Haas machine.

Further information and event registration can be obtained from Haas here or by calling M.A. Ford Europe’s head office on 01332 267960.
