Inside the “One Show” at Mills CNC — A Celebration of One-Hit Machining

Mills CNC threw open its doors this week for the much-anticipated “One Show”, an open house event that showcased the latest innovations in one-hit machining — the ability to produce complex, high-precision parts in a single setup using advanced DN Solutions technology.

The MTDCNC team spent the day at Mills’ impressive Leamington Spa facility capturing photos, speaking with the Mills CNC team, and getting a close-up look at the technology on display. The atmosphere was lively as engineers, machinists, and manufacturers from across the UK explored what’s possible with the latest equipment and automation solutions.

Focused on Performance and Productivity

At the heart of the event were two standout machines that embody the spirit of one-hit machining:

  • ⚙️ DVF 5000 – A high-performance 5-axis machining centre designed for precision and speed, perfect for producing complex components with minimal setups.
  • ⚙️ DNX 2100 – An entry-level multitasking machine that delivers exceptional versatility and accuracy, providing an ideal solution for manufacturers looking to take their first step into the world of advanced automation.

Throughout the day, Mills CNC’s experts — including Brian Edmondson, Richard Wilson, Tony Dale, Ned Hewitt, and Gary Murphy — were on hand to share insights into the machines’ capabilities, discuss real-world applications, and offer advice on how to achieve faster cycle times and improved part quality.

A Great Turnout and Exciting Conversations

The event drew a strong turnout from across the industry, with visitors keen to see how DN Solutions’ latest machines and control technologies can enhance their own operations. Conversations around spindle performance, automation integration, and process reliability highlighted the industry’s continued focus on efficiency and precision.

More Coverage Coming Soon

While this visit focused on capturing photos from the day, MTDCNC will soon be sharing in-depth interviews, machine walkarounds, and expert insights filmed on-site.

Keep an eye on our channels over the coming weeks as we bring you more from Mills CNC’s “One Show” — including a closer look at the technology, the people behind it, and the future of one-hit machining in the UK.
