Day One Underway at FANUC UK’s Future of Precision Engineering Event
Day one is officially underway at The Future of Precision Engineering, hosted by FANUC UK at its European headquarters in Ansty Park.
The event opened with a keynote address from Andy Armstrong, Vice Managing Director of FANUC UK, who set the tone for a week focused on innovation, skills development, and the technologies shaping the future of UK manufacturing.

Bringing together professionals from CNC machining, automation, robotics, and injection moulding, the event offers live demonstrations, expert-led insight, and direct access to industry partners showcasing advanced manufacturing solutions.
In a manufacturing landscape defined by rapid change and increasing customer demands, the event places strong emphasis on continuous education, productivity improvements, sustainability, and workforce development. Key themes throughout the week include smarter and more efficient production, reducing waste and downtime, and building the skills required for tomorrow’s manufacturing workforce.

Attendees also have the opportunity to take part in roundtable discussions focused on strengthening teams and future-proofing organisations, alongside the chance to win one of 26 event-exclusive training course places for 2026, courtesy of Sierra 57 Consult Ltd.
MTDCNC is on site throughout the week, capturing the technology, conversations, and real-world insight that matter most to manufacturers. MTDCNC’s Lyndsey Vickers is also moderating the panel discussions with industry leaders.

With plenty to see and learn across the week, manufacturers are encouraged to attend and experience first-hand the technologies and ideas driving the next generation of precision engineering in the UK.
