We’ve just wrapped up the first few days of our trip through the stunning landscapes of Austria, visiting IBARMIA customers – and what a fantastic start it’s been for the MTDCNC team!
Our journey began in Scherrer, a company located near Friedrich, where we had the opportunity to see their IBARMIA ZVH L3000 5-axis travelling column machine in action. Installed just under a year ago, this wasn’t your typical machine installation story.
Unlike many installations driven by specific parts or applications, Scherrer’s investment in the L3000 was about something much bigger: capability. The team, led by Nobert, didn’t just want to add another machine to their shop – they wanted to raise the bar for their customers. They envisioned a machine that would elevate their operations, and the IBARMIA ZVH L3000 was the key to turning that vision into reality.
What makes this machine so special? The L3000 is an incredibly versatile piece of equipment, capable of handling a wide variety of machining tasks. It reduces setup times, boosts efficiency, and increases overall flexibility on the shop floor. But what truly sets it apart is that this machine wasn’t just off the shelf. IBARMIA worked directly with the Scherrer team to develop a tailored solution that perfectly met their needs.
This is the perfect example of how the right machine builder can make a difference – when they listen, understand, and deliver a custom solution for a forward-thinking business. The result is a machine that not only performs but also enhances the capabilities of the company.
