Majorlift Strengthens Shopfloor Efficiency and Compliance with Kerstar and Filtermist Solutions

Majorlift Hydraulic Equipment Limited has reinforced its commitment to operational efficiency, environmental control, and regulatory compliance through continued investment in advanced extraction and vacuum technologies.
During a recent visit, MTDCNC’s Tom Skubala and Chris Thomas were joined on site by Lydia Barber of Filtermist Limited to explore how the company is optimising its machining environment.
A key highlight of the visit was Majorlift’s implementation of a Kerstar oil line swarf and coolant vacuum system, designed to streamline waste management and improve overall shopfloor cleanliness. This investment complements the Filtermist oil mist extraction systems already installed across the facility, creating a fully integrated approach to airborne and fluid contamination control.
Together, these technologies are enabling Majorlift to enhance process stability, protect operator health, and maintain a high standard of manufacturing performance. The systems are further supported by comprehensive servicing, Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) testing, and ongoing aftermarket support, ensuring full alignment with COSHH regulations and best practice within the industry.
Speaking during the visit, Billy from Majorlift outlined the company’s journey and the importance of working with trusted partners like Filtermist to support multiple areas of the business, from compliance through to long-term operational efficiency.
