Smart Scope Vantage 450 from OGP UK is a multi-sensing machine that fits all!

Paul Jones interviews Graham Shaw from OGP UK, part of the Carfulan Group, to understand the benefits and application of the Smart Scope Vantage 450 metrology system. Rather than having 3 or 4 different products, this one machine fits all! The primary sensor on this mid-sized machine has optics, on top of which you can add tactile measurement and laser as well. A selling feature is the machine’s throughput which justifies its purchase. The Vantage 450 machine comes with telecentric optics and offers up to 200mm working distance with the laser. A 4th and 5th axis unit means you can turn the part to whatever position you need to be able to see a specific feature. The multi-sensing system is powered by the simple ZONE3 metrology software which allows operators to integrate information back into CAD and get information back to design much quicker than traditional technologies.
