
VECROS Launches Jetcore AI Autonomy Platform to Power Next-Generation Autonomous Robotics
VECROS has announced the commercial launch of Jetcore, an India-designed AI autonomy compute platform developed to power autonomous drones and robotic systems operating in complex and GPS-denied environments. The new platform represents a significant step in the company’s vision of building indigenous autonomy technologies by integrating high-performance computing, flight and motion control, sensor connectivity, and autonomy software into a single compact solution. Designed to simplify system architecture while improving performance, Jetcore is expected to support a wide range of robotics applications across multiple industries.
Jetcore has been engineered to address one of the key challenges in autonomous robotics—bringing together several critical hardware and software components into a unified platform. By combining AI computing, embedded firmware, power architecture, flight control, and VECROS’ proprietary Jetpix autonomy software stack, the platform reduces the need for multiple independent subsystems. This integrated approach not only simplifies system integration but also minimises communication delays between components, enhances sensor synchronisation, and improves the overall reliability and efficiency of autonomous operations.
Built specifically for advanced robotics applications, Jetcore enables sophisticated onboard artificial intelligence capabilities that allow drones and robotic systems to function with minimal human intervention. The platform supports technologies such as visual inertial odometry, simultaneous localisation and mapping (SLAM), GPS-denied localisation, obstacle avoidance, multi-camera perception, sensor fusion, real-time 3D mapping, and fully autonomous mission execution. These capabilities enable machines to make intelligent decisions locally without depending on continuous cloud connectivity, making them suitable for demanding industrial and mission-critical environments.
According to VECROS, the development of Jetcore is based on extensive operational experience gained through more than 5,000 autonomous flight hours. Insights collected from real-world deployments have helped optimise the platform for reliability, performance, and scalability. Following successful commercial validation, the company is now making Jetcore available to manufacturers developing autonomous systems for sectors including defence, warehousing, industrial inspection, infrastructure monitoring, mining, utilities, public safety, and agriculture. The platform is designed to help equipment manufacturers accelerate product development while reducing engineering complexity and time to market.
The company’s expertise has also been strengthened through the deployment of its autonomous warehouse inventory and inspection solution, JASPER. Operating in GPS-denied warehouse environments, JASPER has accumulated more than 2,000 autonomous flight hours, generating valuable operational data that continues to support the development of VECROS’ next-generation Physical AI technologies. These technologies are intended to enable robots to perceive, understand, and interact intelligently with real-world environments, paving the way for more capable autonomous systems across industrial applications.
