
Halocarbon Launches InfinX Metalworking Fluids to Improve Machining Performance in High-Temperature Alloys!
Halocarbon has introduced its InfinX Series of advanced metalworking fluids at IMTS 2026, offering manufacturers a specialised solution for machining some of the industry’s most challenging materials. Developed specifically for high-temperature nickel-based superalloys, refractory metals and other difficult-to-machine materials, the InfinX platform is designed to improve machining efficiency, extend tool life, enhance surface quality and reduce coolant maintenance requirements. The new product range addresses the growing needs of industries such as aerospace, defence, energy, medical manufacturing and precision engineering, where machining performance and component quality are critical to production success.
As modern manufacturing continues to adopt advanced engineering materials capable of withstanding extreme temperatures, pressure and mechanical stress, machining these materials has become increasingly demanding. Nickel-based superalloys such as Inconel, along with refractory metals including molybdenum and tantalum, are widely used in aerospace engines, gas turbines, nuclear applications, defence equipment and high-performance industrial components because of their exceptional strength, corrosion resistance and heat tolerance. However, these same material properties make them extremely difficult to machine, often resulting in excessive tool wear, high cutting temperatures and longer production times.
To address these challenges, Halocarbon developed the InfinX Series with a formulation specifically engineered to support stable machining under demanding operating conditions.
