Tuesday 28 July 2026, 8:14:23 AM

Over the past two days, DMG MORI’s Technology Days in Cleveland provided attendees with a unique opportunity to engage directly with engineers and explore cutting-edge machining technologies. The event highlighted DMG MORI’s commitment to enhancing productivity and efficiency within the manufacturing sector.

A notable feature of the event was a live demonstration by Applications Engineer Chris Hawthorn. He showcased the capabilities of the NLX 2500|700 2nd Gen, a machine renowned for its ability to reduce machining time by up to 50%. Utilizing the turnMASTER spindle, the machine supports improved cutting conditions, boosting productivity.

Attendees also observed the CMX 1100 V in action. Demonstrated by Applications Engineer Steve Breisinger, this vertical milling machine, manufactured in the USA at DMG MORI’s Davis Factory, impressed with its enhanced ergonomics. Attendees learned how its features contribute to more efficient and productive manufacturing processes.

In addition to machinery demonstrations, visitors connected with experts Stuart Luper and Stephen Harmon to explore innovative digital solutions. These included machine monitoring via Messenger, advanced CAD/CAM software, and the Tulip frontline operations platform, offering manufacturers a suite of tools to optimize operations.

Acknowledgment was given to the local Cleveland team, including Sushant Gupta, Neil Pickens, Bryan Farrell, and Cheri Razek, for their pivotal roles in orchestrating the successful event.

For those unable to attend, DMG MORI invites industry professionals to join them in Chicago for Innovation Days from September 13-18. The event will feature further demonstrations of the NLX 2500|700 2nd Gen, CMX 1100 V, and additional state-of-the-art machinery.
