Traceability just became non-negotiable and laser marking of parts is now mission-critical.
🚨 WARNING: The new EU Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 is just months away. Traceability just became non-negotiable and laser marking of parts is now mission-critical.
The current Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC will be replaced on 20 January 2027 by the new Regulation (EU) 2023/1230. As a directly applicable law, it strengthens product identification, supply-chain accountability, cybersecurity logging, and requirements for substantial modifications.
Why laser marking of parts is now mission-critical:
✅ Permanent, tamper-evident serial numbers, batch codes, and unique identifiers ensure full traceability across the entire lifecycle.
✅ Supports mandatory logging of interventions and software updates for safety-related components.
✅ Enables quick identification during market surveillance, recalls, or post-modification conformity assessments.
✅ Protects manufacturers and operators from liability by proving origin, compliance, and integrity of parts.
ALL of our lasers are Class 1 certified, CE marked and come with a declaration of conformity.
Other laser manufacturers are advising their customers to purchase laser enclosures via a 3rd party that are invariably NOT safety certified and marked accordingly with the correct documentation.
