
Vertiv Appoints Frieda He as Chief Procurement Officer to Strengthen Global Supply Chain Strategy!
Vertiv has appointed Frieda He as its new Chief Procurement Officer (CPO), reinforcing the company’s focus on strengthening supply chain resilience, operational efficiency, and long-term growth amid rising demand for AI-driven digital infrastructure solutions.
In her new role, Frieda He will lead Vertiv’s global procurement organisation, overseeing initiatives related to supply chain optimisation, supplier quality, cost management, and strategic sourcing across the company’s expanding portfolio of digital infrastructure technologies.
The appointment comes as Vertiv continues scaling operations to support increasing global demand for high-density data centres, AI infrastructure, and advanced power and cooling solutions. Company leadership highlighted that resilient and agile supply chains are becoming increasingly critical as enterprises accelerate investments in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and next-generation digital infrastructure.
Commenting on the appointment, Gio Albertazzi, Chief Executive Officer of Vertiv, described Frieda He as an experienced global leader with a strong track record in building resilient and sustainable supply chains. He noted that her expertise in multinational procurement environments and operational transformation would support Vertiv’s continued growth and execution strategy.
Frieda He brings nearly two decades of experience in procurement and supply chain leadership across the automotive and industrial sectors. Before joining Vertiv, she served as Chief Procurement Officer at Polestar, where she managed more than $3 billion in global procurement spending while leading cross-functional teams through major industry disruptions and supply chain challenges.
Prior to Polestar, she held several senior leadership positions at Volvo Cars, including Vice President of Global Propulsion and Sustainability Procurement. In that role, she oversaw approximately $9 billion in annual procurement spending and contributed significantly to Volvo’s electrification strategy and sustainability initiatives.
Her experience also includes managing complex global sourcing operations, supplier development programmes, and procurement transformation projects across China and the Asia-Pacific region. Throughout her career, she has worked extensively on supplier quality improvement, crisis management, operational efficiency, and strategic supply chain restructuring.
Frieda He expressed enthusiasm about joining Vertiv at a time when the digital infrastructure industry is undergoing rapid transformation driven by artificial intelligence, data growth, and increasing computational requirements. She emphasised the importance of operational excellence, supplier collaboration, and resilient procurement strategies in supporting long-term innovation and business scalability.
