Star Micronics Shines at MACH 2026 Exhibition

Star Micronics showcased an impressive array of machinery at this year’s MACH Exhibition 2026, marking a significant presence with their advanced manufacturing solutions. Attendees had the opportunity to witness firsthand the capabilities of Star’s new and enhanced sliding head lathes, all integrated with the Step Cycle Pro chip-breaking software.

The exhibition debut of the SP-32 sliding head lathe caught attention with its increased bar capacity of 35mm, provided by the optional oversize kit, and a plethora of advanced features engineered to boost productivity, slash cycle times, and enhance overall efficiency.

Joining the line-up was the SB-20RII model, boasting a Hydrafeed Rotary-Pro Compact separator for refined component handling. The lathe is also fitted with a Firetrace fire suppression system and a Filtermist S400F mist extraction unit ensuring operator safety and machine efficiency.

The display included the SD-26 Type E model, featuring ARNO’s AWL rail system with integrated coolant delivery, the LNS Fox WS2 1000 extraction system, and Firetrace fire suppression for optimal operational safety.

Additionally, the SR-20JII Type A offered a combination of high-performance components, including an FMB Turbo RS 2-20 bar feeder, J&S Engineering rotary component collector, and FSE ExoMist HPM2000 extraction, enhancing machining precision.

The SX-38 Type B lathe, equipped with the latest Filtermist AW mist extraction and SolidCAM’s iMachining technology, was highlighted for its speed and extended tool life.

Furthermore, the SR-32JIII Type B model, acclaimed for its accuracy and robustness, was equipped with enhancements such as a P&E internal bed wash system and updated mist extraction solutions.

Completing the showcase was the compact SL-10 sliding head lathe designed for small diameter machining tasks, delivering top-notch precision and efficacy.

Live demonstrations of the NC Assist 2026 software, featuring a robust 3D simulation engine, provided insight into the future of programming software in manufacturing.
