Forney Industries has announced the promotion of Dane Anderson to the role of President and Chief Operating Officer, marking a significant step in the company’s leadership evolution. Based in Fort Collins, Colorado, the family-owned business continues its legacy of internal leadership development with this transition.
Dane Anderson succeeds Steve Anderson, who held the position for 19 years. Steve Anderson will remain actively involved in the company as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, ensuring continuity in strategic direction while supporting the next generation of leadership.
As the fourth generation of the Forney/Anderson family to take on a senior leadership role, Dane Anderson’s appointment highlights the company’s strong family heritage and long-term vision. Since joining the business in 2016 as a regional sales manager, he has progressed through a series of roles with increasing responsibility across operations and management, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the company’s functions.
In his expanded role as President and COO, Anderson will oversee day-to-day operations while continuing to drive growth and operational excellence across Forney’s welding and metalworking business. His experience across both commercial and operational domains positions him well to lead the company in a competitive and evolving manufacturing landscape.
The leadership transition reflects Forney Industries’ commitment to building on its established reputation while preparing for future growth. With a blend of legacy leadership and fresh perspective, the company is well positioned to continue serving its customers with innovative welding and metalworking solutions.
