Versuni India has announced a major expansion of its manufacturing footprint with the launch of new production facilities in Chennai and Ahmedabad. The move is aimed at strengthening local manufacturing capabilities, increasing localisation and supporting growing demand across key appliance categories.

The Chennai facility, spanning approximately 12,000 square meters, has been developed as an integrated hub for kitchen appliance manufacturing. A key highlight of this expansion is the introduction of a dedicated airfryer motor production line, which is expected to enhance production capacity and support the rapidly growing demand for airfryers in the Indian market. By localising critical components such as motors, the company is taking a significant step toward building a more self-reliant manufacturing ecosystem.

In Ahmedabad, Versuni has expanded its facility to more than 15,000 square meters, effectively doubling its production capacity. The upgraded plant now includes a new air purifier assembly line, along with enhanced manufacturing capabilities for airfryers, garment steamers and other home appliances. This expansion enables the company to cater to a broader product portfolio while improving responsiveness to market demand.

The Ahmedabad facility also incorporates advanced manufacturing technologies to improve efficiency and product quality. These include automated coating systems, plastic injection moulding units and robotic assembly lines. Such technologies not only enhance production speed but also ensure consistency and precision in manufacturing processes.

This expansion aligns with Versuni’s strategy of developing a strong “Made in India” product portfolio. By increasing local production, the company aims to reduce dependency on imports, optimize supply chain operations and deliver products more efficiently to the domestic market. The move also positions the company to respond quickly to changing consumer preferences and demand patterns.

In addition to operational benefits, the new facilities are expected to generate significant employment opportunities. Over 1,000 direct jobs are anticipated, along with additional indirect employment across supplier networks, logistics and allied industries. This contributes to regional economic development and strengthens the broader manufacturing ecosystem in both locations.

Versuni is also integrating digital technologies across its manufacturing operations. The use of robotic systems, automated testing equipment and IoT-enabled monitoring tools enables real-time tracking of production processes, improved quality control and enhanced operational efficiency. These capabilities support scalable manufacturing while maintaining high product standards.

Overall, the expansion in Chennai and Ahmedabad reflects Versuni India’s commitment to strengthening its manufacturing base, embracing advanced technologies and supporting India’s push toward localized production. By investing in capacity, automation and supply chain integration, the company is well positioned to meet growing consumer demand while contributing to the country’s evolving manufacturing landscape.
