Informa Markets has announced the launch of PALM Expo Delhi, marking a major expansion of one of India’s most established professional audio, visual and lighting technology exhibitions into North India. Building on the success of its long-running Mumbai edition, the new event aims to bring industry stakeholders closer to one of the country’s most dynamic and rapidly growing AV markets.

The inaugural PALM Expo Delhi is scheduled to take place from January 7 to January 9, 2027, at Bharat Mandapam. The event is expected to host between 70 and 100 curated exhibitors and attract approximately 5,000 to 7,000 industry professionals, including system integrators, consultants, event specialists, technology providers and end users.

The expansion reflects the growing importance of North India in the professional AV ecosystem. Industry estimates suggest that the region contributes nearly 40–45 percent of India’s AV hardware market, with the Delhi NCR region emerging as a major hub for corporate installations, government infrastructure, institutional deployments and large-scale event venues. This demand is driven by rapid urbanization, investments in digital infrastructure and the presence of a dense network of corporate headquarters and convention facilities.

According to industry insights shared during the launch, India’s professional audio market is currently valued between USD 750 million and USD 850 million, while the lighting segment is approaching USD 2 billion, growing at over 11 percent annually. North India, in particular, is witnessing higher adoption of premium audio solutions and advanced visual technologies compared to the national average.

The Delhi edition of PALM Expo will place strong emphasis on emerging high-growth segments such as home audio systems and advanced visual display technologies. These segments are gaining traction due to rising demand in premium residential spaces, corporate environments and educational institutions.

A standout feature of the event will be dedicated line array demonstration zones, where exhibitors can conduct live outdoor demonstrations of high-performance audio systems. Leveraging the expansive infrastructure at Bharat Mandapam, these demo zones are expected to provide visitors with hands-on experience of cutting-edge sound technologies in real-world conditions.

The exhibition will showcase a balanced mix of international and domestic players. Approximately 80 percent of participating brands are expected to represent global manufacturers through Indian distribution networks, while the remaining 20 percent will highlight “Make in India” innovations, reflecting the country’s growing capabilities in AV and lighting technologies.

The event will cover four key technology segments: professional audio systems, home audio and premium speaker solutions, advanced display and visual technologies, and entertainment lighting systems. It will also highlight major industry trends such as immersive spatial audio, AI-driven audio management, integrated AV ecosystems, digital signage and interactive display platforms.

By bringing PALM Expo to Delhi, Informa Markets aims to create a stronger regional platform for collaboration, innovation and business growth. The move is expected to enhance industry connectivity, provide access to new technologies and support the continued evolution of India’s professional AV and lighting industry—particularly in North India, where demand continues to accelerate.
