Star Micronics is set to showcase its latest innovation, the SP-32 sliding head lathe, at the upcoming MACH 2026 exhibition. Scheduled for 20 to 24 April 2026, this event marks the UK debut of the highly anticipated machine following its success on the global stage.

The SP-32 builds on the popularity of its predecessor, the SP-23, known for its appeal among subcontract manufacturers. Designed for high-precision production, the SP-32 accommodates bar diameters up to 35mm with an optional oversize kit, enhancing its machining versatility.

Equipped with the powerful FANUC 0i-TF Plus CNC system, the SP-32 boasts several advanced features that optimise machining efficiency. These include Step Cycle Pro, Last Part Mode, ECO Mode, and thermal displacement correction technology. Additionally, the machine’s capability to operate with or without a guide bush provides users with exceptional flexibility across various applications.

This cutting-edge lathe is expected to generate significant interest at MACH 2026, a premier event for the manufacturing technology sector. Attendees can witness the SP-32 in action and explore its comprehensive tooling capabilities.

Star Micronics continues to innovate in the field of precision engineering, reinforcing its reputation for developing advanced industrial solutions. The introduction of the SP-32 underscores the company’s commitment to meeting the evolving needs of manufacturers worldwide.
