What is Renishaw Central… and what does it actually do?
By Lyndsey Vickers
That was the question Lyndsey Vickers put to Paul Jones while visiting the Renishaw stand at BIEMH – the Bienal Internacional de Máquina-Herramienta in Bilbao, Spain.
During the visit, the MTDCNC team spent the morning exploring several of the latest innovations from Renishaw, taking a closer look at how the company continues to support manufacturers with advanced measurement, process control and additive manufacturing technologies.
One of the key highlights on the stand was Renishaw Central — a powerful software platform designed to connect and manage Renishaw devices across the shopfloor. The system enables manufacturers to monitor the performance of their measurement technologies, manage multiple devices from a central location and gain better visibility of the data being generated across production environments. By bringing these technologies together, Renishaw Central helps companies improve process control, traceability and overall manufacturing efficiency.
Another major feature on the stand was the new Equator-X gauging system, the latest generation of Renishaw’s well-known Equator comparative gauging technology. Designed for high-speed measurement directly on the shopfloor, the Equator-X provides manufacturers with the ability to quickly verify part accuracy and maintain tight process control during production.
Alongside this, the team also explored Renishaw’s additive manufacturing technologies, which continue to play an increasingly important role in modern production environments. These solutions demonstrate how additive and subtractive processes can work together to enable more complex designs, improved material usage and greater manufacturing flexibility.
There is some seriously smart technology on display at the Renishaw stand this week, all focused on helping manufacturers increase productivity, improve traceability and gain greater control over their processes.
The MTDCNC team captured a range of content from the stand during the visit, and this will begin appearing across our channels very soon. As part of our coverage from BIEMH, we’ll also be sharing Spanish-language content for our colleagues and audience across Spain.
Stay tuned for more updates and technology highlights from BIEMH, coming soon to MTDCNC.
