Boeing’s Everett factory in Washington, USA, stands as a monumental achievement in manufacturing as the largest building by volume globally. Enclosing over 472 million cubic feet, this facility is a vital part of the Pacific Northwest’s aerospace industry.
Established in 1967 primarily for the production of the Boeing 747, the factory has since expanded its output to include the 767, 777, 777X, and parts of the 787 Dreamliner. It notably supports a workforce of over 30,000 in its main assembly structure, sprawling across 98.3 acres within a vast 1,000-acre complex adjacent to Seattle Paine Field International Airport.
The Everett site is not only a production powerhouse but also plays a critical role in Boeing’s commercial aviation portfolio, having constructed and delivered over 5,000 widebody aircraft since its inception. This underscores its status as a major driver of aerospace innovation and a cornerstone for Boeing.
Founded in 1916 by William E. Boeing, the company is a global leader in the aerospace sector, employing more than 170,000 individuals worldwide. With a wide array of products including commercial aircraft, defence systems, and space offerings, Boeing serves customers in over 150 countries.
