Iron Bull Manufacturing Introduces Fluid Reclaim Hoppers for Safer, Cleaner Machining Operations!

Iron Bull Manufacturing has launched a line of fluid reclaim hoppers designed to separate liquids from scrap in machining and metalworking environments. The system is engineered to improve shop safety, streamline waste handling and support fluid recovery processes.

The seam-welded hopper design enables the collection of scrap containing oil, water, coolants and other fluids. Liquids are directed into an integrated trough that channels fluid toward a drain, allowing for reclamation, reuse or proper disposal. This separation process helps reduce slip hazards, minimize environmental impact and improve overall housekeeping in manufacturing facilities.

A heavy-duty mesh screen prevents metal shavings and small particles from entering the liquid stream, helping maintain cleaner recovered fluids and preventing clogging. Fluid removal is controlled through a 3/4-inch brass valve designed to withstand exposure to oils, cutting fluids and coolants. Sealing components are engineered to support leak-free operation during fluid collection and discharge.

The hoppers are available in sizes ranging from 1/4 cubic yard to 7 cubic yards, with load capacities up to 7,000 pounds. This range makes them suitable for small job shops as well as larger industrial facilities. Typical applications include separating cutting fluids, coolants and lubricants from metal chips and scrap materials generated during machining processes.

Each unit incorporates a self-dumping, pinless rocker design intended to maintain consistent alignment during dumping operations. Traditional pin-based systems may experience wear or breakage that can lead to misalignment and operational issues. The pinless rocker configuration is designed to provide smoother, more reliable performance over time.

Structural reinforcements enhance durability and long-term performance. These include a wraparound welded lip on the back corners, welded reinforcing angle along the top edge and added gussets for strength. Base cross-tie channel construction with the open face positioned downward adds rigidity while helping prevent debris buildup. Extended hopper sides further increase structural stability.

Optional features such as push-and-dump or dump-from-seat functionality allow operators to discharge material directly from the forklift seat, improving efficiency and reducing manual handling. Casters can also be added to facilitate mobility around the shop floor.

With the introduction of its fluid reclaim hoppers, Iron Bull Manufacturing provides machining operations with a practical solution for managing fluid-laden scrap, supporting safer working conditions and more efficient resource recovery.
