Aludecor Launches Industry-Wide Free ACP Testing Initiative to Raise Safety, Quality, and Fabrication Standards!

Aludecor, one of India’s leading façade solutions manufacturers, has announced a voluntary, free-of-cost material testing programme for the aluminium composite panel (ACP) industry, marking a significant step toward improving safety, transparency, and accountability across the sector. Described as the largest initiative of its kind in the B2B façade space, the programme is aimed at strengthening fire safety practices and encouraging responsible material usage across a wide range of building applications.

The initiative comes at a time when ACP usage is expanding rapidly across commercial, healthcare, hospitality, institutional, and residential projects. As the market grows, concerns around product performance, traceability, and on-site accountability have become more prominent—particularly in the context of fire safety incidents linked to inappropriate material selection or undocumented substitutions. Aludecor’s programme seeks to address these issues by offering open access to credible, third-party-aligned testing infrastructure for the entire ACP industry, regardless of brand.

A key focus of the initiative is to support fabricators, architects, builders, and consultants by enabling informed decision-making based on verified material performance. Fabricators, in particular, often bear the brunt of scrutiny when failures occur, despite having limited control over upstream material testing or certification. By making professional testing accessible and anonymous, Aludecor aims to reduce risk for all stakeholders while improving confidence in ACP installations.

The programme holds particular relevance for tier-2 cities in northern India, where ACP adoption is increasing quickly alongside more complex project requirements. As façade applications evolve in scale and design, the need for transparent and reliable testing becomes critical to ensuring safer built environments. Aludecor believes that industry-wide access to impartial testing can play a decisive role in elevating standards in these fast-growing markets.

Under the initiative, Aludecor has opened its advanced R&D centre to the broader industry. The facility houses the only NABL-accredited reaction-to-fire testing laboratory operated by an ACP manufacturer in India. ACP samples will be collected directly from site-supplied materials, ensuring that the products tested accurately reflect what is installed on buildings. All testing will be conducted without disclosing brand names, customer identities, or project details, maintaining complete neutrality and credibility throughout the process.

This move builds on Aludecor’s existing quality framework, under which its own ACP products are subjected to more than 205 mandatory tests covering fire resistance, colour stability, structural performance, durability, and long-term reliability. By extending access to this infrastructure, the company is positioning material testing not as a competitive differentiator, but as a shared industry responsibility focused on public safety and long-term trust.

Aludecor’s free testing programme also represents the next phase of its long-standing engagement with the fabrication community. Over the past 12 years, the company has conducted nationwide skill development and knowledge-sharing initiatives, reaching more than 300,000 fabricators across India. The new initiative invites fabricators—starting with key markets such as Lucknow and expanding nationwide—to participate in a voluntary, transparent testing movement designed to improve safety, protect professional reputations, and support sustainable industry growth.

By prioritising openness, neutrality, and technical rigor, Aludecor’s initiative signals a shift toward collaborative responsibility in the ACP ecosystem, reinforcing the idea that higher safety and fabrication standards benefit the entire construction value chain.
