Lexicon Inc. has announced two senior leadership promotions within its Prospect Steel division, reinforcing its focus on operational excellence and internal talent development. Based in Little Rock, Arkansas, Lexicon has elevated Angela Mitchell to Director of Production Control and Material Management and Chadd Harper to Director of Production Scheduling and Programming.

The appointments recognise the deep operational experience and long-term contributions both leaders have made to Prospect Steel and the wider Lexicon organisation. In their new roles, Mitchell and Harper will play a key part in coordinating production workflows, optimising material utilisation and supporting efficient project execution across the division’s steel fabrication operations.

Angela Mitchell brings extensive expertise spanning material planning, purchasing, CNC programming and production control. She began her professional journey as a structural steel detailer before joining Prospect Steel in 2004. Over the past two decades, Mitchell has progressed through a series of increasingly responsible roles, gaining hands-on experience across core operational functions. In 2016, she was promoted to production control manager, where she led efforts to improve material flow, planning accuracy and coordination between engineering and fabrication teams. Her promotion to director reflects her deep institutional knowledge and her ability to align material management strategies with production demands.

Chadd Harper’s promotion highlights a similarly broad and well-rounded career within Lexicon. He joined the company in 1999, initially working in quality control before moving into production control management. Over 17 years, Harper held multiple leadership positions in production, building a strong foundation in shop-floor operations and scheduling discipline. He later transitioned to Lexicon’s Custom Metals division, where he spent the last decade working as an estimator, material manager, purchaser and project manager. This cross-functional background gives Harper a comprehensive understanding of how scheduling, programming and project execution intersect across the organisation.

Lexicon stated that strengthening leadership within Prospect Steel supports its broader goal of maintaining reliable delivery, disciplined execution and high-quality outcomes for customers in the metals and materials sector. By promoting experienced leaders from within, the company aims to ensure continuity while adapting to evolving project complexity and production requirements.

The promotions underscore Lexicon’s long-term commitment to developing talent internally and building leadership teams with deep operational insight, positioning Prospect Steel for sustained performance and growth.
