Dormer Pramet enhanced its solid carbide drilling portfolio with the Force range, a lineup engineered to improve precision, durability, and productivity across demanding machining applications. Designed to deliver consistent results in challenging materials and operating conditions, the Force drills were developed to support manufacturers seeking higher process reliability, longer tool life, and improved hole quality.

The Force solid carbide drill range was built around advanced cutting geometries, optimized flute designs, and high-performance coatings that work together to ensure stable cutting action and effective chip evacuation. By reducing vibration and heat generation during drilling, the tools help maintain dimensional accuracy while supporting higher cutting speeds and feeds. This combination enables manufacturers to improve cycle times without compromising tool life or surface finish.

Within the portfolio, the Force X Generation 2 drills were designed to provide versatility and robustness across a wide range of materials. Available in both through-coolant and solid configurations, these drills supported multiple drilling depths and were optimized for ISO P, M, and K materials. Their advanced flute geometry and TiAlN-top coating contributed to reliable chip control, improved wear resistance, and stable performance in both general and demanding drilling operations.

For applications requiring extremely small and precise holes, the Force Micro drills addressed the need for accuracy and repeatability at miniature diameters. Covering sizes from 0.7 mm to 2.95 mm, these drills were developed to deliver smooth cutting action at high spindle speeds while maintaining tight tolerances. Their design supported extended tool life even in high-speed micro-drilling environments, making them suitable for precision engineering, medical components, electronics, and fine mechanical parts.

Completing the lineup, the Force Deep Hole drills were engineered to achieve reliable performance in drilling depths of up to 20 times the drill diameter. These tools featured internal coolant channels and a Nano-Tip multilayer coating that enhanced thermal stability, wear resistance, and chip evacuation during deep drilling operations. By maintaining positional accuracy and reducing the risk of chip packing, the drills helped manufacturers achieve consistent hole quality in long-reach applications.

Together, the Force X Generation 2, Force Micro, and Force Deep Hole drills formed a comprehensive solid carbide solution aimed at improving productivity, accuracy, and process security. Through this expanded range, Dormer Pramet reinforced its focus on delivering high-performance holemaking tools that support modern manufacturing requirements across diverse industries and materials.
