INDEX Corporation, a manufacturer of high-precision CNC turning machines headquartered in Noblesville, Indiana, has promoted two long-serving leaders to director-level positions as part of its executive leadership team. Ross Kenyon has been appointed Director of Applications, while Tyler Economan has been promoted to Director of Sales. The leadership changes reflect INDEX’s emphasis on internal talent development, continuity, and disciplined execution as it continues to expand its presence across North America.

Ross Kenyon joined INDEX in 2002 as an applications engineer and is now in his 24th year with the company. Over the course of his career at INDEX, he has held a range of technical and leadership roles, including lead engineer and department manager. His work has involved supporting customers across multiple industries and machine platforms, giving him deep exposure to real-world production environments. In his new role as Director of Applications, Kenyon will oversee applications engineering, process development, and machine installations throughout the United States and Canada, ensuring customers receive optimized machining solutions aligned with their production goals.

Michael Huggett, President and CEO of INDEX, said that Kenyon’s promotion reflects his deep technical expertise and practical approach. He noted that Kenyon understands not only the technical capabilities of INDEX machines, but also how customers apply them in demanding production settings, which is critical as the company continues to scale its applications and process development capabilities.

Tyler Economan joined INDEX in 2006 and has built a broad-based career within the organization, with experience spanning proposals, applications, customer support, operations, and sales. As Director of Sales, he will lead external sales, internal sales, and marketing functions. His responsibilities include shaping sales strategy, driving market development, and managing distributor relationships across the region. His cross-functional background positions him to align commercial strategy closely with operational execution.

Huggett emphasized that sales leadership at this level goes beyond transactions and requires long-term trust and disciplined customer engagement. He said Economan’s wide-ranging experience across the business allows him to connect strategic objectives with practical execution, supporting sustainable growth and strong customer relationships.

According to INDEX, strengthening leadership in both applications and sales is essential to delivering complex machining solutions while maintaining consistent execution and high levels of customer support. The company stated that these promotions reflect both its current scale and its future direction, with an increasing need for experienced leadership as operations grow.

Huggett added that both Kenyon and Economan bring decades of experience and a deep understanding of INDEX’s customers, products, and internal processes. He said they have earned the trust of their teams and are well positioned to guide the company through its next phase of growth, where strong leadership and disciplined execution will be critical to continued success.
