**Walter Tools has appointed *Tim Gingerich* as Managing Director of Walter Canada, effective immediately.** He succeeds Tony Baas, who will retire at the end of the month after many years of leadership serving customers across the Canadian market.
The leadership transition reflects Walter’s continued focus on strengthening its customer-centric approach while ensuring continuity in its Canadian operations. Tim Gingerich brings deep industry knowledge and hands-on market experience to the role, having worked closely with customers and internal teams throughout his career at Walter.
Prior to his appointment, Gingerich served as a Field Sales Engineer, where he was directly engaged with customers on the shop floor, supporting application development, tooling optimization, and productivity improvements. In that role, he worked closely with the sales organization to drive sustainable growth while consistently delivering service and solution excellence across his territory. This strong grounding in real-world customer challenges is expected to be a key asset in his new leadership position.
As Managing Director, Gingerich will lead Walter Canada’s national sales organization, with responsibility for advancing the company’s customer-first strategy across the country. His mandate includes supporting growth across Walter’s full portfolio of cutting tools, services, and engineering solutions, while strengthening long-term partnerships with manufacturers in key Canadian industries.
