Bosch Power Tools Launches New Cordless Outdoor Garden Equipment Range in India!
Bosch Limited has expanded its consumer offerings in India with the launch of a new line…

ABB India has introduced the ACS380-E, a next-generation machinery drive engineered for automation-focused machine builders and industries accelerating their transition toward digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0. As Indian factories adopt smarter, more connected production systems, ABB’s latest drive is designed to simplify integration, improve operational performance and ensure long-term compliance with emerging digital and cybersecurity standards.
AR Madhusudan, President and Local Division Manager for Drive Products at ABB India, emphasized that India’s rapidly evolving automation ecosystem requires machinery drives that are robust, energy-efficient and adaptable to diverse industry needs. He noted that the ACS380-E delivers the performance, security and flexibility needed to support a wide variety of applications—while preparing customers for future regulatory requirements in connected manufacturing environments.
Purpose-built for sectors such as textiles, plastics, wire and cable, and intralogistics, the ACS380-E is engineered to minimize commissioning time and reduce installation complexity. The drive incorporates streamlined wiring, built-in dual Ethernet ports and multiple communication protocols—all included as standard—to enable seamless connectivity across modern factory networks. USB-C–based commissioning and Ethernet-enabled firmware updates further simplify configuration and lifecycle maintenance, ensuring the system remains cybersecurity-ready as digital threats evolve.
Supporting all major rotary motor types across 100–600V voltage ranges, the ACS380-E integrates smoothly with leading automation platforms, including ABB’s own AC500 PLC. Its compact footprint and flexible mounting options make it well suited for installations in space-constrained control cabinets. Additionally, compatibility with ABB’s Drive Composer software—including the upcoming Drive Composer 3—provides enhanced capabilities for monitoring, diagnostics, adaptive programming and offline configuration, enabling more efficient machine setup and ongoing performance optimization. In India, the drive is initially available in ratings up to 22 kW, 400V, and made its public debut at ENGIMACH 2025 in Gandhinagar.
With the launch of the ACS380-E, ABB continues to strengthen its position as a global leader in electrification and automation technologies. The company’s long-standing mission—expressed through its philosophy “Engineered to Outrun”—centers on enabling industries to operate more efficiently, sustainably and competitively. With over 140 years of innovation and a global workforce of 110,000, ABB remains a trusted partner for manufacturing sectors advancing toward smarter, cleaner and more connected production systems.
Through its Process Automation business, ABB offers technologies and services that automate, electrify and digitalize essential industrial operations—from energy and water management to materials processing and manufacturing. The ACS380-E machinery drive builds on this foundation, empowering Indian machine builders and manufacturers to embrace the next evolution of high-performance, secure and digitally integrated industrial machinery.
