Schaeffler India Expands Local Manufacturing with New Line of Large-Size Spherical Roller Bearings and Cast Steel Housings!

Schaeffler India has taken a major step in strengthening its industrial solutions portfolio by launching a new range of Made-in-India large-size Spherical Roller Bearings (SRBs), Cast Steel Housings, and related accessories. These components are now being produced at the company’s cutting-edge facility in Savli, Gujarat, reinforcing its commitment to local manufacturing and the Make-in-India initiative.

This expansion caters to heavy-duty sectors such as steel, cement, mining, power generation, and pulp & paper, all of which demand robust and reliable motion technology. The new SRBs feature outer diameters up to 720 mm and include series 222, 223, 230, 231, 240, and 241, all manufactured to X-life quality standards—ensuring increased load capacity, longer service life, reduced friction, and improved operational efficiency.

Complementing the SRBs, Schaeffler has introduced large-size Cast Steel Housings along with Adapter, Withdrawal, and Hydraulic Sleeves, offering customers a complete bearing solution from a single trusted source. These housings are engineered for high-performance durability, featuring:

• Advanced sealing systems
• Integrated lubrication grooves
• Provisions for temperature and vibration sensors
• Auto-lubrication compatibility

These enhancements not only extend equipment life but also reduce maintenance complexity, offering OEMs and system integrators a reliable, cost-effective choice for challenging industrial environments.
