Ceratizit has purchased Xceliron Corporation

Ceratizit has purchased the entire stock of Xceliron Corp. The round tool maker situated in Chatsworth, California, specialises in producing specialised solid carbide tools for the aerospace and automotive industries in the United States. Ceratizit will be able to reach new customer groups thanks to Xceliron’s position in the aerospace industry, and the company’s competence in the field of special tools opens up new prospects to provide Ceratizit customers in North America with a more comprehensive variety of tooling solutions in the future.

“We are very pleased that Randy Jones and Ric DiOrio will continue in the successful management of Xceliron and act as co-managing directors,” Ceratizit’s executive board spokesman Andreas Lackner says of the transaction’s completion. “We are overjoyed to have found the right partner in Ceratizit to propel Xceliron forward and build on our heritage.” Long-term thinking and creativity are two characteristics that have also been at the heart of our business for the past thirty-three years,” Ric DiOrio and Randy Jones said in a joint statement.

“Through this acquisition, we will be able to better serve our customers by offering a broader range of custom tooling solutions that are specifically tailored to meet the demanding requirements of the aerospace industry.” “We are excited to use Xceliron’s expertise and reputation for precision to drive innovation and excellence in round tools,” says Mirko Merlo, Ceratizit’s president of the Americas.
