Starrag have been a major player in the production of aerospace parts especially landing gear for over 20 years. Burnd Wellerdiek from Starrag tells MTDCNC’s Eric Hulen that since the aviation market almost completely shut down during the Covid pandemic passenger numbers are back to pre-Covid levels. With the industry preference for smaller planes with more fuel efficient engines there is now even more pressure to supply parts as these older less economical planes are replaced. Starrgag not only have the machines to make these parts but they have over 20 years experience in the tooling, the fixturing & the programs required to achieve the high accuracy results the aerospace industry demands.
