Big Daishowa Expands Smart Damper Lineup: Introducing 318 Large Bore Systems and CK Series Enhancements

Big Daishowa, a leader in precision tooling solutions, has broadened its range of Smart Damper-integrated products with the introduction of the 318 Large Bore Systems and advancements in the CK1, CK2, and CKB3 systems.

The newly introduced 318 Smart Damper deep boring system is specifically crafted for fine or rough boring tasks, covering diameters ranging from 200 to 320 mm (7.87 to 12.6 inches). Featuring the versatile CKB7 connection, this system seamlessly adapts to nearly any machining setup. By integrating Smart Damper directly into the design, the system effectively reduces the distance from the damping mechanism to the cutting edge, curbing vibrations at the source. This results in enhanced damping effects on the tool assembly, minimizing vibrations, and leading to superior surface finishes and heightened metal removal rates. The 318 Series is not only lightweight but also configured for secure operations, making it ideal for high-speed operations, reaching up to 6,600 SFM.

The Smart Damper SW Heads, known for providing six times higher boring efficiency, double the cutting depth, and triple the cutting conditions compared to other rough boring heads, now welcome the addition of the new Smart Damper SW head for the CK1, CK2, and CKB3 systems. This enhancement extends the CK modular precision tool system’s compatibility with the complete range of SW products, elevating the versatility of SW heads to new heights and reinforcing the stability of CK-compatible connections.

Big Daishowa’s innovative Smart Damper technology has been meticulously designed to render boring operations quieter, more efficient, and entirely vibration-free. These recent additions to their lineup underscore the company’s commitment to advancing machining capabilities for optimal performance and precision.
