The Sieglinde Vollmer Foundation is once again recognising exceptional young minds in the Biberach district with its prestigious awards aimed at encouraging extracurricular STEM activities. The foundation, which promotes innovation and creativity, will host its award ceremony on 3 July, celebrating those who excel beyond traditional classroom boundaries.
The event’s prelude was a selection workshop held on 16 June, where young participants demonstrated their ingenuity through projects that spanned AI applications, sustainable technologies, and innovative engineering concepts. The workshop highlighted the participants’ dedication, creativity, and technical expertise, showcasing a clear vision of the future shaped by the next generation.
A distinguished panel of judges from both industry and academia evaluated the projects. The jury included Clea Gross, Supervisory Board Member of VOLLMER and niece of Sieglinde Vollmer, Prof. Dr Jens Winter from Biberach University of Applied Sciences, VOLLMER Managing Director Tobias Trautmann, Head of HR Hans Wahl, and Head of Technology Sägmüller Manfred. Their combined expertise ensured a thorough assessment, focusing not only on results but also on participants’ curiosity, perseverance, and determination to transform ideas into reality.
Clea Gross, representing CLEA GROSS ARCHITEKTEN, exemplifies the Vollmer family’s commitment to nurturing young talent, aligning with the foundation’s mission to empower the next generation of innovators. The awards celebrate students who question, experiment, and create, embodying the foundations’ ethos of fostering STEM passion.
As excitement builds for the upcoming ceremony, the Sieglinde Vollmer Foundation remains dedicated to inspiring young talents, helping them explore their potential and actively shape the future.
