The DoPent and Tung-Tri product lines from Tungaloy have now been extended with the arrival of new insert lines of high performing CVD- and PVD-coated grades. Developed to enhance the existing product line-up, the new CVD- and PVD-coated grades will strengthen the potential of the DoPent face mill line and Tung-Tri square shoulder mill series.
One new arrival is the AH3135 grade. This impressive PVD-coated grade for milling applications consists of a wear resistant PVD coating that works with a high fracture toughened carbide substrate. This combination has been designed to withstand fracture and wear under the most challenging of circumstances. This new universal grade will be ideal for face, shoulder and also high feed milling of various types of materials.
Both the T3225 and T1215 are the new additions to the CVD-coated grades. Generating superior wear resistance with improved fracture toughness, the new CVD grades ensure stable, long tool life and effective high speed machining. The T3225 is well suited for steel and stainless steel milling while the innovative T1215 is ideal for cast iron machining. Between the new grades, there will be more than 45 items added to existing product lines.
