Voxel Innovations Expands to New Facility to Meet Growing Demand for PECM Technology!

Voxel Innovations, a leader in pulsed electrochemical machining (PECM), has relocated to a newly constructed facility in Knightdale, North Carolina, driven by increased demand across industries like aerospace, medical devices, defense, and energy. This move will enable Voxel to enhance its PECM production capabilities, as well as upgrade its laboratory, testing, and metrology equipment to further refine its cutting-edge process.

PECM is a nonthermal, noncontact material removal method that excels in creating small features and superfinished surfaces on metal parts with high precision. It is ideal for high-volume machining of exotic alloys for critical components such as turbine blades, nitinol bone fixtures, and microchannel heat exchangers.

Founded in 2015 by CEO Daniel Herrington, Voxel has consistently improved its PECM technology to meet the needs of next-generation critical components, particularly those involving difficult-to-machine materials like Inconel and refractory alloys. The company’s move to a larger facility marks a significant step in expanding its production capacity while maintaining its commitment to high-quality, advanced manufacturing.

“Voxel’s growth into our new facility is an important milestone, allowing us to expand our capacity for both existing and new customers,” said Herrington. “We are excited for this next chapter while helping to grow the advanced manufacturing industry in the Research Triangle region of North Carolina.”
