Studer FavoritCNC Universal Cylindrical Grinding Machine Enhances Performance and Efficiency!

Studer’s new generation FavoritCNC universal cylindrical grinding machine offers a comprehensive solution for small to medium-sized workpieces in both individual and series production. This latest model integrates modern grinding technology with a focus on precision, simple operation, and cost-effectiveness.

The FavoritCNC has been upgraded with a FANUC 0i-TFP CNC control, enhanced software, and smart automation capabilities. Key updates include a new automatic operating door and loader interface, allowing users to automate their production processes efficiently. These improvements aim to streamline operations while ensuring sustainability and reducing costs.

Further optimizations enhance usability and ergonomics. For instance, the machine includes a grinding wheel changing aid and an optional tailstock park position to simplify operations. The machine’s larger distance between the X guideways improves wheelhead stability, while the inclusion of a resource-saving belt spindle system and a digital display for the manual B-axis swivel angle contribute to higher efficiency.

The FavoritCNC offers two wheelhead variants: a fixed wheelhead for productive external grinding with manual positioning, and a universal wheelhead for both external and internal grinding in a single clamping, with manual swivel capability. The machine offers numerous configuration options such as a fixed or swiveling worktable, and additional capabilities like measuring and balancing systems, grinding detection, and longitudinal positioning. These features make the machine adaptable for various grinding tasks and production environments.

Built with premium components like the Granitan S103 mineral casting for the machine bed, which optimizes damping and thermal properties, the FavoritCNC guarantees high-performance standards. The machine’s 10.4″ flat screen and ergonomic manual control unit improve usability, making it easier for operators to manage complex grinding tasks.

The introduction of StuderPictogramming and StuderGrind software provides an intuitive interface for setting up and controlling even complex grinding processes. The FavoritCNC also supports non-circular grinding and thread grinding with StuderThread and StuderForm, allowing operators to create high-quality results with minimal programming knowledge. Additionally, the machine’s conventional grinding mode allows for manual grinding, making it ideal for users transitioning from conventional machines to CNC systems.
