Heidenhain, a leader in precision measurement and control solutions, unveiled its latest advancements in digital manufacturing at IMTS 2024 in Chicago. The company highlighted its TNC7 control system, offering enhanced user experience and process reliability for 5-axis machining. Available with 24-inch, 19-inch, and 16-inch monitors, the TNC7 is designed for a range of applications, including features like graphical 6D setup support, collision monitoring, and trochoidal milling for 3+2-axis machines.
In addition to the TNC7, Heidenhain introduced the latest version of its StateMonitor software, now equipped with energy monitoring and ERP interfacing, providing businesses with detailed analytics to improve operational efficiency. Attendees also experienced new jig grinding features on the KERN 5-Axis machining center, supported by REGO-FIX tool holding technology.
A standout at the event was the debut of Heidenhain’s VT 122 measuring camera, an all-in-one solution combining tool presetting, microscopy, and visual inspection. This innovation enhances tool analysis, reduces downtime, and improves productivity, contributing to lower total costs and extended tool life.Heidenhain also demonstrated its KCI 120 Dplus encoders integrated into the ABB Cobot, working seamlessly with Acu-Rite Solutions’ TURNPWR CNC technology. These advancements showcased the company’s commitment to driving efficiency and precision in modern manufacturing.
