EMUGE-FRANKEN USA Launches American-Made TiNox-Cut VAR End Mills for Aerospace and Hard Material Machining!

EMUGE-FRANKEN USA, a leading name in high-performance rotary cutting tools, has announced the domestic production of its TiNox-Cut VAR High Performance End Mills at its facility in West Boylston, Massachusetts. Specifically engineered for difficult-to-machine aerospace materials, the TiNox-Cut VAR line delivers exceptional performance in metal removal, tool life, and machining reliability—now proudly Made in the USA.

The “VAR” designation reflects the tools’ Versatile application, American-made quality, and Reliable performance. Built to EMUGE-FRANKEN’s renowned German specifications, these end mills are designed to tackle tough materials such as stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, and nickel alloys, all while delivering superior chip control, heat resistance, and surface finish.

The TiNox-Cut VAR series is available in four specialized variants:

  • VAR-NF: Roughing end mills ideal for Inconel and titanium, featuring fine chip breakers to reduce cutting forces.
  • VAR-N: Titanium-specific tools with five flutes for high feed rates and raised lands for better chip evacuation, also offered with corner radius options.
  • VAR Base: Entry-level, all-purpose tools for stainless and acid-resistant steels.
  • VAR Trochoidal: High metal removal end mills optimized for trochoidal milling, reducing stress on low-powered machines and thin-walled components.

Each tool is crafted from premium sub-micron solid carbide with advanced PVD coatings for wear and thermal resistance. Featuring internal axial coolant channels, these end mills offer maximum chip evacuation and cooling, making them ideal for high-impact aerospace machining.

Available in 4- and 5-flute designs, and 7-flute options for trochoidal tools, the line includes 188 SKUs ranging in diameters from 0.125″ to 1″, with metric sizes from 6 mm to 20 mm. Tool lengths extend up to 4XD, with Trochoidal cutters also offered in 5XD variants. For enhanced rigidity and anti-pullout safety, the end mills are compatible with EMUGE-FRANKEN’s FPC Milling Chucks featuring Weldon shanks and a pin lock system.
