VeriSilicon Launches Automotive-Grade Intelligent Driving SoC Design Platform!
VeriSilicon, a leading player in semiconductor design and technology solutions, has introduced its new automotive-grade high-performance…
DN Solutions, one of the world’s top machine tool manufacturers, has officially entered the industrial Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) market with the launch of its DLX series metal 3D printers at DIMF 2025 (DN Solutions International Machine Tool Fair), held from April 2-5 in Busan and Changwon. The event marked the company’s significant expansion into the world of metal additive manufacturing (AM), showcasing cutting-edge technologies and solutions for the future of machining.
The 15th edition of DIMF attracted over 5,000 visitors, including 1,000 international partners, customers, and industry experts. The exhibition, which focuses on automation solutions, featured more than 50 next-gen machines, automation systems, and smart software, alongside the debut of DN Solutions’ metal 3D printers. The theme of the exhibition, “Automation Solutions Platform for All Machining Processes”, encapsulated the company’s commitment to advancing its technology portfolio.
The standout product at the fair was the DLX series, particularly the DLX 450, DN Solutions’ first industrial-grade LPBF metal 3D printer. The DLX 450 demonstrated its capabilities by building complex components up to 450 × 450 × 450 mm using a variety of materials including aluminum alloys, Inconel, and titanium. With options for single to quad fiber lasers (500W–1kW), the printer offers a layer thickness range of 30–90 μm and build speeds up to 20 cm³/hour. The integration of multiple fiber lasers significantly enhances productivity, particularly in high-precision applications.
The DLX series is built to support a full end-to-end workflow in metal additive manufacturing. The system comes equipped with DN Solutions’ proprietary AM software suite, which offers critical tools for:
This comprehensive approach ensures manufacturers can seamlessly adopt metal 3D printing for complex and precision-driven production needs. The system is designed for ease of use, enabling high precision, repeatability, and ease of integration into existing workflows.
The launch of the DLX series follows extensive in-house testing and validation. DN Solutions redesigned a spindle cylinder front cap for one of its multitasking machines using Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) principles. The redesign resulted in a 20% performance gain due to an improved internal structure and simplified assembly process, showcasing the potential of metal AM to enhance product functionality and efficiency.
In line with its strategic growth in the metal AM sector, DN Solutions also announced the opening of its Additive Manufacturing Solution Center (ASC) in Germany, with additional centers planned for South Korea and the United States. These centers will provide critical support for AM part design, process optimization, prototyping, and production, helping clients leverage the full potential of additive manufacturing.
Wonjong Kim, CEO of DN Solutions, expressed confidence in the future of metal additive manufacturing, stating, “Metal additive manufacturing offers vast potential to reduce post-processing and produce complex geometries that are impossible to achieve with traditional machining methods. By 2030, we aim to maximize the synergy between additive and subtractive manufacturing technologies, driving innovation across industries.”
As a global leader in CNC machine tools and smart manufacturing solutions, DN Solutions is well-positioned to revolutionize industrial production with its DLX series and innovative approach to metal additive manufacturing.
Headquartered in Changwon, South Korea, DN Solutions is a leading manufacturer of CNC machine tools, specializing in machining centers, turning centers, and factory automation systems. With over 290,000 machines sold in 66 countries and a strong global service network, DN Solutions continues to shape the future of manufacturing with innovative solutions.
