Gio from MTDCNC digs deep on the Star stand at MACH 2022 to review the Star SR-20R4 Type B sliding head machine. Although technically a turning machine, Star’s Matt tells us many customers are using these machines as a bar fed mill. A CNC controlled “B” Axis machine with a 20mm bar capacity, it’s perfect for producing complex prismatic parts. As with all Star sliding head machines a bar loader can easily be fitted to facilitate lights out operation.
