A West Bromwich-headquartered manufacturer and wholesaler of personal protective clothing and equipment is to relocate to a new 120,000 sq ft base in Birmingham.

Beeswift, which is headquartered in West Bromwich, has agreed to a 16-year lease deal on a 120,000 sq ft logistics centre at Hub 120 in Witton.

The company is a manufacturer and wholesaler of protective clothing and equipment encompassing a wide range of workwear and safety and medical products and supplies both public sector and commercial clients.

Rob Trevor, senior director, UK industrial and logistics, CBRE Global Investors, said: “We are delighted to welcome Beeswift as a new customer to our European logistics portfolio. Beeswift are operating as a key supply chain to the NHS and this will allow them to expand and increase capacity at this time of national need.”

The facility, next to the new Birmingham Wholesale Markets, will also act as a corporate headquarters and national distribution centre as part of the company’s ongoing expansion plans.

Beeswift’s chief executive Les Giles said: “Having successfully moved our Dutch company into a 40,000 sq ft of modern distribution facility a week before lockdown in February, we are now totally focused on this seven-month project to relocate Beeswift to its new corporate HQ and distribution centre”.
