MJ Allen is a group of companies including a foundry, engineering machine shops, automotive supplies and steelworks. Here we speak with Tim Allen the MD who tells us more.
They started as pattern makers in the ’50s then moved on to manufacturing their own castings in their onsite foundry. The business continued to grow and they now have two machine shops.
Continued to investment ensures they keep up with the pack, if not ahead of it. And tying in with this they always look for new opportunities, their latest venture being their steelworks where they manufacture buildings and cladding.
Part of their success is that they are a family-oriented business, Tim being the third generation. Not only that, some of their staff are third generation as well.
