Heller to Showcase Advanced Five-Axis Aerospace Machining Solutions at Paris Air Show 2025

Heller will demonstrate its industry-leading capabilities in high-precision, flexible aerospace component manufacturing at the Paris Air Show 2025, taking place from 16–22 June. Visitors can explore Heller’s latest innovations at Hall 2B, Stand F194, where the company will spotlight its powerful F and HF series five-axis horizontal machining centres (HMCs).

Trusted across the aerospace sector, Heller’s five-axis HMCs are used to manufacture a wide range of complex components, including engine parts, landing gear, structural elements, and aircraft doors. Designed for difficult-to-machine materials, the F and HF series deliver high rigidity, reliability, and compact design, while remaining equally effective for one-off components or continuous 24/7 production.

Since late 2023, Heller has been expanding its F-series lineup to meet rising industry demand. These machines offer outstanding productivity within a compact footprint. Highlights include acceleration up to 7 m/s² and positioning accuracy as tight as 6µm in the X, Y, and Z axes. Despite their space-saving design, the machines boast a large working volume relative to their size, allowing users to take on larger, more complex workpieces without sacrificing space.

A key feature of the F-series is the optional turning function, which enables true one-hit machining. This high-torque rotary table supports combined turn-milling operations at up to 700 rpm, enabling external and internal contouring, thread cutting, undercutting, and recess machining — all in a single setup. This integration dramatically improves precision and reduces cycle times by eliminating the need for part transfers between machines.

To further enhance productivity and error prevention, Heller integrates a digital twin within the Siemens Sinumerik One CNC. This allows users to simulate and virtually validate machining processes before any actual cutting begins, helping to avoid costly mistakes and reduce setup time.

For manufacturers uncertain about future production volumes or component types, Heller offers an automation-ready configuration, making it easy to upgrade with robotic or pallet-based automation at any time. As standard, all F-series machines include an automatic pallet changer. Additional automation options include robotic loading systems and linear or rotary storage units for streamlined, lights-out production.

With growing demand for high-accuracy, multi-functional machining in aerospace, Heller’s latest innovations at the Paris Air Show will offer a compelling look at the future of efficient, scalable component manufacturing.
