Takumi USA has expanded its portfolio with the introduction of two advanced machining centers: the UA400 five-axis machining center and the VC1200 three-axis machining center. These machines are engineered to meet the rigorous demands of modern manufacturing, offering exceptional precision, durability, and operational efficiency.

The VC1200 three-axis machining center is designed with cutting-edge features that cater to high-speed, precision mold machining. It is equipped with roller-type linear rails that provide greater contact areas compared to traditional ball-type linear rails, resulting in smoother linear motion and the ability to support faster feed rates. Additionally, the pre-tensioned ballscrews incorporated in the VC1200 are specifically designed to minimize thermal growth, which enhances overall accuracy during prolonged operations. The machine also boasts fast rapid traverse rates of 1,417 inches per minute and features XYZ travels of 50″ × 25.98″ × 24″. To further streamline operations, it includes a 24-tool automatic tool changer (ATC) and a powerful 15,000-rpm Big Plus CAT 40 spindle, making it a versatile choice for various machining tasks.

The UA400 five-axis machining center represents Takumi’s latest innovation in multi-axis machining technology. With XYZ travels of 24.8″ × 24.8″ × 20.1″, this machine is designed to handle complex geometries with ease. The UA400 features a +30/-110-degree A-axis trunnion and a 360-degree C-axis, along with a 400-mm table, providing the flexibility needed for intricate machining operations. The high-speed, inline spindle ensures optimal surface finishes, while the machine’s 40-tool ATC enhances productivity by reducing downtime during tool changes. One of the standout features of the UA400 is its capability for thermal compensation, which is critical for maintaining precision in environments where temperature fluctuations can impact machining accuracy.

Both the VC1200 and UA400 models are equipped with FANUC controls, known for their reliability and advanced features that support high-precision machining. These controls ensure that operators can achieve consistent, repeatable results, even in the most demanding production environments. Takumi USA’s commitment to innovation and quality is evident in these new offerings, which are poised to meet the evolving needs of manufacturers seeking to enhance their machining capabilities.

These new models will be showcased at IMTS 2024, giving industry professionals the opportunity to see firsthand how these advanced machining centers can elevate their production capabilities. With these introductions, Takumi USA continues to solidify its position as a leader in the machining industry, providing solutions that combine advanced technology with practical functionality. Whether for high-speed, precision mold machining or complex, multi-axis operations, the UA400 and VC1200 are designed to deliver exceptional performance and reliability.
