Starrag’s Heckert high-speed X40 horizontal machining centre-based flexible manufacturing system for the production of actuator components for Boeing 737 and 767 landing gear at Boeing Sheffield are commissioned to succeed – with all the manufacturing methodologies surrounding fixturing, tooling and programming having previously been proven out by Starrag, Boeing and the AMRC.
