Guhring demonstrate the RT100T 30xD carbide deep hole drill on their new Grob G550 machine which will be heading back to their showroom after MACH 2022. Dave Newbould from Guhring explains that the RT range of drills goes from 10xD to 40xD and from diameter 3 to diameter 10. The use of solid carbide tooling allows the use of much higher feed rates, up to 10 times higher than conventional deep hole drilling, with no compromise on surface finish or accuracy but with huge time & cost savings. The Grob G550 is an incredibly powerful machine allowing Guhring to showcase their products to their full potential.
