When Rogue Engineering in Aberdeen started out only one year ago they were running manual machines but it was always their intention to have a machine shop full of state of the art CNC machine tools. After much research looking at many other brands they came to the conclusion that the best offering was from DMG MORI. Having recently taken delivery of 3 new DMG MORI CNC machines, two lathes and a machining centre, Rogue Engineering’s business has moved on to another level. As Jeff Shand from Rogue explains to MTDCNC’s Rowan, dealing with DMG MORI was extremely easy. As well as suppling 3 high quality machines DMG MORI’s amazing finance package allowed for Rogue to have the machines up and running producing parts and earning money for 6 months before they had to start paying for them. It also included a free tooling package. The DMG MORI machines have transformed Rogues business with greater productivity and far higher quality. The two lathes are connected to bar feeders for unmanned operations and there are future plans to connect the machining centre to a robot loading system or automated cell. DMG MORI, the best isn’t always the most expensive.
