The in-house manufactured encoder on Okuma’s latest, high performance turning spindles has 36 million increments per revolution, making it more accurate than any other on the market. The ability to synchronise it accurately with the B-axis tool spindle motion on an Okuma lathe allows ultra-high precision machining, including gear skiving.
