Lexicon Inc., a leading provider of structural steel fabrication, construction, and industrial manufacturing solutions headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas, has announced the appointment of Erick Petersen as Sales Executive for its Northern region. The strategic hire reflects the company’s continued focus on expanding its market presence, strengthening customer relationships, and supporting business growth across key industrial and construction markets in North America.

Petersen joins Lexicon with extensive experience in structural steel sales, business development, and project estimating, having built a successful career working with several well-established organisations within the steel fabrication and construction industries. His appointment is expected to enhance Lexicon’s ability to identify new business opportunities, support existing customers, and deliver comprehensive steel solutions for complex infrastructure, commercial, industrial, and manufacturing projects.

As Sales Executive for the Northern region, Petersen will be responsible for driving regional sales growth, developing strategic customer partnerships, and expanding the company’s presence across a broad range of industries. His role will involve working closely with contractors, project owners, engineers, architects, and industrial clients to understand project requirements and provide tailored steel fabrication and construction solutions that meet demanding quality, schedule, and performance expectations.

Before joining Lexicon, Petersen gained valuable industry experience through a series of senior sales and leadership positions with prominent companies in the structural steel sector. His previous roles included sales responsibilities at Lyndon Steel, Saskark Steel, and Banker Steel, where he developed expertise in customer relationship management, project acquisition, and business development. These positions provided him with a deep understanding of the structural steel supply chain and the complex requirements associated with large-scale construction and industrial projects.

Most recently, Petersen served as Director of Sales and Estimating at Cimolai-HY, where he was responsible for overseeing sales strategy, preparing competitive project estimates, and supporting business development initiatives. In that leadership role, he worked closely with engineering, estimating, and project management teams to deliver comprehensive solutions for customers while helping the company secure major fabrication contracts. His experience in both sales and estimating provides him with a strong technical understanding of project planning, cost management, and customer requirements, enabling him to support clients throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Petersen also brings a strong educational background to his new position, holding a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Liberty University. Effective communication is increasingly recognised as a key skill in the construction and manufacturing industries, where successful project delivery depends on close collaboration between clients, engineers, fabricators, contractors, and suppliers. His combination of technical sales expertise and communication skills is expected to support stronger customer engagement and long-term business relationships.

The appointment comes at a time when demand for structural steel fabrication continues to grow across North America, driven by investments in manufacturing facilities, industrial infrastructure, commercial construction, energy projects, transportation networks, and logistics developments. Steel fabricators are increasingly seeking experienced sales professionals who can navigate complex project requirements while delivering value through technical expertise, responsive customer service, and collaborative project support.

For companies such as Lexicon, experienced regional sales leadership plays a vital role in identifying emerging market opportunities, responding to changing customer needs, and supporting sustainable business growth. Sales executives serve as a critical link between customers and engineering teams, ensuring that project specifications, timelines, and technical requirements are clearly understood and effectively managed from the initial enquiry through project execution.

Lexicon has established a strong reputation as a provider of structural steel fabrication, construction, and industrial services, serving customers across a diverse range of sectors. The company continues to invest in both its manufacturing capabilities and leadership team to strengthen its competitive position while supporting increasingly complex construction and industrial projects throughout North America.

The addition of Erick Petersen further reinforces Lexicon’s commitment to building a highly experienced commercial team capable of supporting customers with technical expertise, responsive service, and strategic project guidance. His broad industry experience, leadership background, and proven track record in structural steel sales are expected to contribute significantly to the company’s continued regional expansion.

As construction activity and industrial investment continue to grow across North America, the appointment positions Lexicon to strengthen its customer relationships, expand its market reach, and support future business opportunities. With Petersen leading sales efforts in the Northern region, the company is well positioned to capitalise on new projects while continuing to deliver high-quality structural steel solutions that meet the evolving demands of the construction and manufacturing industries.
