DMG MORI Canada has expanded its automation portfolio with the launch of the MATRIS WPH, a flexible automation system designed to streamline the handling of both workpieces and pallets in modern CNC machining environments. Developed to meet the evolving demands of manufacturers facing fluctuating production schedules, smaller batch sizes, and increasing product variety, the new solution offers a scalable and adaptable approach to shopfloor automation while improving machine utilisation and manufacturing efficiency.

In addition, it supports a range of vertical machining centres from the NVX and CMX V series, enabling manufacturers to automate multiple machine platforms using a common automation concept.
The MATRIS WPH is available in two configurations to accommodate different manufacturing requirements. The MATRIS WPH 70 is designed for smaller components and supports transfer weights of up to 35 kilograms, while accommodating pallet sizes of up to 400 x 400 mm. This configuration is well suited for precision machining operations requiring compact automation with high flexibility.
For manufacturers producing larger components, the MATRIS WPH 210 provides increased handling capacity, supporting transfer weights of up to 135 kilograms and pallet dimensions of 500 x 500 mm. The larger system enables businesses to automate heavier machining applications while maintaining the same level of flexibility for changing production schedules and varying workpiece sizes.
