Teqram Introduces Dual-Station EasyWelder Cobot Cell to Maximize Welding Productivity!
Teqram has launched the EasyWelder, an advanced collaborative robotic welding cell designed to improve manufacturing efficiency by minimizing downtime during production. Featuring a dual-station configuration, the EasyWelder enables continuous welding operations by allowing operators to load and unload components on one workstation while the collaborative robot simultaneously welds parts on the other. This parallel workflow significantly reduces idle time, increases machine utilization and helps manufacturers achieve higher productivity without compromising operator safety or weld quality.
The EasyWelder has been developed to address one of the most common challenges in welding operations—production interruptions during part changeovers. In conventional welding cells, the welding process must often pause while operators remove completed components and position new workpieces. Teqram’s dual-station design eliminates this bottleneck by incorporating two independent welding tables within a single robotic cell. While the cobot performs welding on one station, the operator can safely prepare the second station for the next production cycle. Once welding is complete, the system seamlessly switches between stations, enabling continuous operation and maximizing throughput.
A key feature of the EasyWelder is its integrated automatic moving safety guard, which creates a protected working environment while allowing the collaborative robot to operate at higher speeds. The enclosure is equipped with UV-filtered viewing windows that provide operators with a clear view of the welding process while shielding them from harmful welding radiation. This design enhances workplace safety without restricting visibility, enabling operators to monitor production while maintaining compliance with industrial safety requirements.
The welding cell has also been designed with flexibility in mind. Each of the two welding stations measures 47.2 by 47.2 inches and is accessible from three sides, allowing operators to position components conveniently for loading and unloading. For manufacturers working with oversized or longer workpieces, the two individual stations can be combined into a single large work area measuring 114.2 by 47.2 inches. This adaptable configuration enables the EasyWelder to accommodate both small production parts and larger fabricated components, making it suitable for a wide range of welding applications.
Ease of operation is another important aspect of the EasyWelder. Teqram has equipped the system with an intuitive user interface and smart programming templates that simplify robot programming, even for operators with little or no previous robotics experience. Rather than requiring advanced coding knowledge, users can quickly teach the cobot new welding tasks through guided programming tools, significantly reducing setup time and making robotic welding more accessible for manufacturers facing skilled labour shortages.
The system supports a wide variety of common welding applications, including circular welds, stitch welding, tack welding, straight seam welding and multipass welding. According to the company, these welding routines can be programmed within minutes using the integrated templates, enabling manufacturers to switch rapidly between different products and production batches. This flexibility makes the EasyWelder particularly valuable for high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments where frequent product changes require fast programming and minimal downtime.
By combining collaborative robotics, intelligent programming and a dual-station workflow, the EasyWelder provides manufacturers with a practical solution for increasing welding productivity while maintaining operational flexibility. Continuous production during changeovers allows companies to improve equipment utilization, shorten production cycles and reduce labour-intensive manual operations. At the same time, the integrated safety features and user-friendly interface make robotic welding accessible to a broader workforce, supporting manufacturers as they adopt automation technologies to remain competitive.
With the introduction of the EasyWelder, Teqram continues to advance collaborative welding automation by delivering a solution that enhances productivity, simplifies programming and improves workplace safety. The dual-station cobot cell offers manufacturers an efficient and flexible platform for modern welding operations, helping increase throughput while supporting the evolving demands of smart manufacturing and automated production.
