Fairlane Products, a leading North American manufacturer of industrial clamps, fixturing accessories, machine tool components and material handling solutions, has expanded its range of industrial rollers with the introduction of three new material options—black neoprene, urethane and white nitrile. The expanded product portfolio is designed to provide manufacturers with greater flexibility in selecting application-specific rollers that enhance material handling performance, improve durability and increase operational efficiency across a broad spectrum of industrial environments. By offering multiple material choices, Fairlane aims to address the varying mechanical, thermal and chemical resistance requirements of modern manufacturing and assembly operations.

The introduction of these new material options enables manufacturers to choose roller solutions that are best suited to their production processes, environmental conditions and performance expectations. Each material has been carefully engineered to deliver distinct characteristics that improve reliability and longevity in demanding industrial applications. Whether the requirement is resistance to chemicals, abrasion, extreme temperatures or heavy mechanical loads, the expanded roller range allows customers to optimise equipment performance while reducing maintenance and replacement costs.

The black neoprene rollers have been developed for applications that require excellent resistance to flames, weathering, gasoline, oils, ozone and elevated operating temperatures. These rollers provide continuous operating capability at temperatures up to 200°F, with intermittent performance reaching 250°F, while maintaining flexibility at temperatures as low as -40°F. Their ability to perform reliably under varying environmental conditions makes them well suited for industrial operations exposed to outdoor environments, fluctuating temperatures or harsh processing conditions where long-term durability is essential.

For heavy-duty industrial applications, Fairlane has introduced urethane rollers that combine exceptional abrasion resistance with high load-bearing capacity and superior mechanical strength. The material offers outstanding elasticity and hardness, making it ideal for continuous material movement, automated conveying systems and demanding production environments where rollers are subjected to significant mechanical stress. In addition to its excellent wear resistance, urethane provides strong resistance to ozone and oxygen while operating continuously within a temperature range of -65°F to 200°F and up to 250°F for intermittent service. These properties make the urethane range particularly suitable for high-performance manufacturing and material handling operations requiring long service life and dependable performance.

The new white nitrile rollers have been specifically engineered for applications where chemical resistance and clean operation are critical. Offering excellent resistance to gasoline, oils, alcohol and abrasion, these rollers perform continuously at temperatures up to 175°F and intermittently up to 225°F while retaining flexibility at temperatures as low as -60°F. Their combination of chemical resistance and durability makes them well suited for manufacturing environments where cleanliness, precision and reliable material handling are essential.

Fairlane Products also offers a comprehensive range of hardness options to meet varying application requirements. Rollers are available in hardness ratings ranging from soft 20-durometer compounds that provide excellent cushioning characteristics to rigid 95-durometer materials designed for applications requiring maximum structural stability. The portfolio includes solid shaft-drive rollers, finned rollers and DuraSoft rollers in diameters ranging from 1.50 inches to 4.00 inches, allowing manufacturers to select configurations best suited to their production equipment and operational needs.

Each roller design provides unique performance advantages. Solid rollers feature smooth outer surfaces that ensure consistent contact with workpieces during material handling. Finned rollers incorporate specially designed grooves that minimize surface contact while allowing dirt, liquids and debris to pass through more easily, improving performance in contaminated environments. DuraSoft rollers combine smooth contact surfaces with innovative internal tear-drop cavities that provide controlled flexibility, enabling firm yet non-marking contact with delicate or precision components during handling operations.

All shaft-drive roller models are permanently bonded to precision-engineered steel hubs and secured to shafts using dual locking set screws. This robust construction enhances power transmission efficiency while significantly reducing slippage compared with conventional belt-driven systems. By expanding its industrial roller portfolio with advanced material technologies and multiple design configurations, Fairlane Products continues to provide manufacturers with reliable, application-specific solutions that improve productivity, extend component life and support efficient material handling across a wide range of industrial sectors.
