Phillips Corporation has announced its participation in the Naval Postgraduate School’s CAMRE distributed advanced manufacturing experiment during the RIMPAC 2026 exercises. The initiative aims to enhance operational readiness and sustainment through expeditionary manufacturing capabilities.

The exercise will feature Phillips deploying a containerised hybrid manufacturing solution aboard the USS Essex. This deployment will allow evaluation of how such manufacturing can enhance maintenance and sustainment tasks closer to operational sites. The primary objective is to address the logistical challenges of operating far from traditional supply chains, specifically when crucial components need repair or replacement.

The RIMPAC 2026 experiment will explore innovative methods to minimise equipment downtime, boost responsiveness, and fortify logistical resilience in challenging environments. The effort is part of a broader collaboration under the Naval Postgraduate School’s Partnership Intermediary Agreement with FLEETWERX. This partnership assembles government entities, industry leaders, and academic institutions to test advanced manufacturing solutions in practical scenarios.

Phillips Corporation views its participation as an honour, joining other contributors in advancing distributed manufacturing capabilities for future military forces. The continued collaboration aims to lead to significant improvements in military support operations in remote and demanding locations.

Phillips Corporation is known for its commitment to innovative manufacturing solutions, serving a wide range of sectors with advanced technological capabilities. This initiative aligns with its goal of providing cutting-edge solutions to complex operational challenges.
